Deeya Purani

Kia ora! My name is Deeya and I am a Law and Arts student at the University of Auckland. I have always loved the humanities, particularly History, and I was fortunate to achieve NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3 with Excellence endorsements, as well as top student awards across several subjects. In high school I enjoyed leadership and extracurricular opportunities, serving as House Captain, Mixed Hockey Captain, and a member of the Chess Club. These experiences shaped my approach to tutoring by being supportive, structured, and focused on building both confidence and academic success.I enjoy making tricky concepts accessible and helping students find joy in their learning. Outside of study, I love reading, writing, debating, and playing hockey, and I aim to bring that same balance of discipline and creativity into my lessons.
